description
the ukrainian cultural heritage fund restores what war and time erase — and raises the money to do it. it needed to look as serious as that mission.
the identity turns the work itself into the idea: black-and-white ruins, redrawn in gold.

a serious mission with no face
the fund approaches partners and donors to fund restoration — but had no identity to stand behind. a body asking for trust has to look trustworthy.
it also had to work everywhere: print and screen, ukrainian and english, from a guideline book to a partnership deck.

finding the one idea
several directions were explored before one held: gold lines that trace a building's lost contour over its black-and-white ruin. past and future in a single frame.
from there — the wordmark, the type system, the palette. sketches to concepts to a final that reads the same in every language and format.
gold lines don't decorate the ruin — they show what it could become again.

one system, loss and restoration
a bold wordmark — uchf — in three lockups (full, stacked, abbreviation), ukrainian and english. type set in unbounded semibold and bounded extralight.
gold gradient, light grey, near-black. the signature graphic runs through it all — delivered as a full guideline book and a partnership-proposal deck the team can actually use.
